Event Highlights | IKBC Welcome Luncheon & Annual Members Meet 2025
The India Kenya Business Council (IKBC) hosted a distinguished gathering to welcome H.E. Dr. Adarsh Swaika, High Commissioner of India to Kenya & Permanent Representative to UNEP and UN-Habitat, during the Welcome Luncheon & Annual Members Meet 2025.
Held on Saturday, 18th October 2025, at the Trademark Hotel, Nairobi, the event brought together dignitaries, members, partners, and sponsors in a celebration of partnership, progress, and prosperity between India and Kenya.
Mr. Abhishek Rana, Chairman – IKBC, highlighted the strong partnership between IKBC and the High Commission of India, reaffirming the Council’s commitment to strengthening bilateral trade and investment relations.

Mr. Peter Muturi, Head of Marketing – Equity Bank Ltd, shared an insightful Kenya–India Banking Update, highlighting new opportunities in trade financing and SME development.
Mr. Astitva Bhardwaj, Managing Director – Bank of Baroda (Kenya) Ltd, spoke on the Internationalisation of the Indian Rupee, showcasing its potential to simplify trade settlements and strengthen economic collaboration.
The luncheon concluded with renewed energy and a shared commitment to deepening India–Kenya partnerships through business, innovation, and mutual growth.
